PhytoSolutions Consultancy is a South African based agricultural trade consultancy firm specializing in sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) services. The firm was established in January 2011 and provides expert scientific and technical services and training to local, regional and international clients across the agricultural value chain. It specializes in food safety, quality management and plant health services relating to national and international trade in agricultural products.

Our scientific, agricultural and business expertise varies with specialization of consultants in the fields of entomology, plant pathology, microbiology, food science, horticulture, agribusiness and environmental conservation. Our lead consultants have more than 60 years combined SPS experience with a special focus on market access compliance and maintenance for agricultural products. This core group of consultants have extensive knowledge and experience in SPS policy and standards development, regulatory oversight, implementation and auditing of local and international standards of plant health, food safety and quality assurance for agri-business, as well as training and mentorship experience both in the public and private sector environments on national and regional levels.
